To constantly drive for improvement in our service and work with the senior team in making sure we deliver what we promise Neil Burrows - Group Business Development Director Describe your role I have overall responsibility for customer strategy and relationship management across the group. Working with an experienced team of Account Directors I have to ensure we have the appropriate resource, support, capability and culture across our account teams. A key part of my role is to constantly drive for improvement in our service and work with the senior team in making sure we deliver what we promise. What is your background? I have worked in the automotive industry for nearly 30 years with major car manufacturers, OEM suppliers and the retail aftercare market. During that period I have spent most time on marketing, sales and customer service and have been fortunate to do that both in the UK and abroad. Seeing the industry from different vantage points has been highly valuable. What skills are needed for your position? An ability to see the big picture, to challenge when necessary and to listen. Focus and clear thinking is vital in what is a very dynamic and operational organisation. I think it is essential to be interested in our customers’ business to really understand what is important to them. Dealing with a broad spectrum of contacts both externally and internally means good communication is important too. |
